A healthy and low-fat mashed potato recipe perfect for a light meal.

Ingredients

  • Potato Spud Lite 25% Less Carbs
    1.5 kilogram

  • Butter
    25 gram

  • Dairy Milk
    150 milliliter

  • Salt
    1 pinch

  • Onion Powder
    10 gram

  • Garlic Powder
    5 gram

  • Optional: Parsley

Directions

  • Preparation
  • Place the chopped potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
  • Cooking
  • Boil the potatoes until very soft and easily pierced with a fork.
  • Drain the potatoes well and return them to the hot pot. Let them sit uncovered for 20 minutes to evaporate excess moisture — this step helps prevent watery mash. Once the potatoes have cooled slightly, peel them.
  • Add the butter and lite milk to the hot potatoes and mash thoroughly using a potato masher or ricer. Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, parsley (if using), salt, and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
